Dr. Stephen J. Phipps received his doctorate in medicine from Creighton University School of Medicine in 1996 with honors. Following graduation, he completed an internship at the Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. He then was accepted into the Penn State University ophthalmology residency-training program, which he completed in 2000. After the completion of his medical and surgical training, Dr. Phipps relocated to St. Johnsbury. He is Board Certified in Ophthalmology and is on staff at Northern Vermont Regional Hospital and Littleton Regional Hospital. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the New England Ophthalmological Society, the Association for Vision and Research in Ophthalmology, the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, and is Vice President of the Vermont Ophthalmolgical Society. His practice interests include comprehensive ophthalmology, small-incision cataract surgery, and laser treatment of glaucoma and diabetes. |
